All About Me

I am passionate about education and teaching.  In my 28th year career, I have taught “coached” and “cheered on”:

*Spirited 6th graders in Midland, Texas for 5 years

*Fantastic 5th graders in Plano, Texas for 8 years

*Inquisitive TAG students in Plano, Texas for 7 years

*Awesome 4th graders at Hyer Elementary, for this, my 9th year!!

I was taught “coached” and “cheered on” by the best!  The “Gold” I won:

*Gifted and Talented Endorsement from SMU, in our wonderful city, Dallas, Texas

*Masters in Liberal Arts from SMU in our fair city,  Dallas, Texas

*Bachelor of Liberal Arts from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California

*College Preparatory Studies from Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California

My motto:  Be a life learner at all times in all places!  

Living abroad in places like Trinidad in the West Indies, Quito, Ecuador in South America & Sumatra, Indonesia for most of my life taught me that you can learn by all those around you. From our similarities to our differences make learning and living very fascinating and relevant.
