Jennifer Munsie - Art

Welcome to Art at Hyer Elementary!

 

My name is Jennifer Munsie and I am so excited to join the Hyer Husky family this year! I have been a teacher for over 9 years and have taught a mix of art, music, and band. Before being certified to teach art, I actually got my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas on French horn. Despite my musical background, teaching art is truly my happy place. I grew up always busy doing lots of different arts and crafts projects with my mom when I was younger. Now that making art is my career, I couldn't be happier! I believe that creating and experimenting and trying new things in art is such a necessary process for kids and can be an important tool in building self-confidence. 

 

As we say in my classroom:
