| 2015 Hyer Bike Rodeo Friday, September 18th Bike Rodeo 1st Grade - 4th Grade students may ride their bikes or scooters to school on Friday. A helmet is required to participate in the rodeo. Parents may also drop off a student's bike if necessary. Students must park their bicycles or scooters on Colgate or Caruth, whichever street they'll be riding on. CLICK HERE FOR THE BIKE RODEO LINEUP & LUNCH SCHEDULE! Students are encouraged to wear the Bike Rodeo t-shirt they will receive on Thursday. Family Picnic The Family Picnic will take place on the southwest lawn at the corner of Caruth and Pickwick. Your child's teacher will bring your child to the lawn to meet you. The teacher will also gather the children at the end of the lunch period. Don't forget to bring a picnic blanket! If you cannot attend the family picnic, please let your child's teacher know in advance so the teacher can arrange for your child to sit with another family. Your child's teacher will take your them to the cafeteria to pick up his or her lunch, and then walk them to the picnic area. If you have purchased a lunch for yourself or for a non-Hyer sibling, you may pick up your lunch in the Hyer cafeteria. Please do NOT pick up a lunch for your Hyer student. CLICK HERE TO SEE IF YOU PURCHASED RAISING CANE'S LUNCH! The cafeteria will NOT be serving lunch on Friday. If you did not purchase a lunch from Cane's, please provide a lunch for your child. Kindergarten does NOT ride in the bike rodeo, but does participate in the family picnic. Bake Sale The bake sale will take place during the family picnic. Please send money with your children to school that day or bring money to the family picnic. DineRite accounts may not be used. We are still in need of volunteers for the bake sale.
