Howdy Hyer Huskies! My name is Cami Browder and I am so excited for the 2020-2021 school year! I am starting my 3rd year at Hyer and have previously taught 6 years in RISD including 3 years in K-6 Resource and 3 years in 1st grade.
I graduated from Baylor University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education with a supplemental degree in special education. I hold certifications in Early Childhood (EC-6), Special Education (EC-12), and ESL. I just graduated with my Masters of Education in Special from Texas A&M with a certificate of Applied Behavior Analysis- WHOOP! I was born and raised in Dallas and enjoy continuing to live in the area with my husband, Ryan and our 2 dogs.
Special Education has always been a passion of mine as I grew up providing respite care for families with children with disabilities, as well as taking care of my older cousin. As a Special Education teacher, I believe in supporting students’ academic and social needs while fostering independence and advocating for inclusion. Thank you for sharing your kids with us this year. I am looking forward to a great year!
