Howdy Hyer Huskies! My name is Cami Browder and I am so excited to begin a new school year at Hyer! I am coming to HPISD after teaching for the last 6 years at Merriman Park Elementary including 3 years in K-6 Resource and 3 years in 1st grade.
I graduated from Baylor University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education with a supplemental degree in special education. I hold certifications in Early Childhood (EC-6) and Special Education (EC-12) and I am currently completing my Master’s Degree at Texas A&M in Special Education with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis. I was born and raised in Dallas and enjoy continuing to live in the area with my husband, Ryan.
Special Education has always been a passion of mine as I grew up providing respite care for families with children with disabilities, as well as taking care of my older cousin. As a Special Education teacher, I believe in supporting students’ academic and social needs while fostering independence and advocating for inclusion. Thank you for sharing your kids with us this year. I am looking forward to a great year!
